I thought this was going to be about Persig's book! Oh well, let me at least recommend it!

If my memory serves me well - wich unfortunately is seldom the case - that book starts from Minneapolis heading west - same road I used to travel to my cousins sumer cabin @ Lake Silvia. So many years since I read that book, that besides the actual road - most I can remember is that the two guys taking the trip were quite different about how they took care of their bikes. Obviously same must have come true in other aspects of life, too.

Just an FYI, except for a visit from two friends who rode with them a while, the "two guys" were Robert Persig and his young son.

Time to reread it! It takes on a different meaning as you get older.
