Great photos. I have been a fan of Mark Olson’s singing and songwriting since his days with the Jayhawks in the 80’s and 90’s. That is a “road worn” D-25 with a stained top that he’s playing!
I believe in my record collection is a compilation of highlights of the Kerrville Folk Festival and I remember Carolyn Hester was one of the players on the album IIRC.
On March 6, 1961, the television show "This is Your Life" honored New Orleans physician and jazz musician, Edmond "Doc" Souchon. The show's host, Ralph Edwards, presented Dr. Souchon with a brand new guitar - a Guild F-40! He performed with it on the show when he was invited to sit in with an all-star New Orleans jazz band. Dr. Souchon returned the guitar's registration card to Guild and included the following note on it: "This is one of the finest guitars I have ever touched in my life. The keyboard is very easy and the tone is magnificent."
