Just noticed that Yamaha evidently now owns Bosendorfer Pianos. Since Bosendorfer is a legendary piano company, it might lead one to assume that Yamaha may know something about dealing with acquisitions with valued histories (e.g., Guild). Maybe wishful thinking on my part.

I don't think we've talked about anything significant from Yamaha affecting Guild yet. I'm sure there will be changes eventually in some aspects of the business.

Certainly Yamaha knows pianos as well as they know guitars so I'd say Bösendorfer is safe.

Very interesting read. I hope Yamaha has continued to take a gentle, not-too-intrusive hands-on approach to Bosendorfer.
