A Benedetto would say Benedetto on the fretboard.

The same as on this Guild Artist Award, I think , but I'm not not positive:

In the late '90s Guild came out with the X700 after discontinuing the X500. A few short years later Guild completely redesigned the X700 and the Artist Award using Benedetto as the designer. Thus, there is the "regular" X700 (shown in your OP) and the "Benedetto" X700 which is a much nicer instrument.

The Regular X700 is indeed, much less pricey than the Benedetto version.

Just so you know there's nothing wrong with a pre-Benedetto X700. They cost a LOT less than the Benedettos do, and while they may not hold up to the $8000 models, they're no slouch, either. Note that the one in your pics has had the pickups replaced, but that's not the end of the world unless you love the look of the original covers or want a guitar that's all original.
