For the "Strange but True" Guild files - this guitar belongs to a Guild fan in Italy and has a Benedetto neck, pickups, pickguard and bridge on an X-500 body. Apparently there are others. Guild is so confusing...

More like an X-700 with a laminated spruce top.

Which is one of (if not THE) differentiating features between the X500 and X700, at least pre-Benedetto, no?

What's it say on the sticker, I wonder.

What I see is a regular Corona-made Guild X-700/Stuart.

Good to know! Is the guy's story about X-700 necks being used on X-500 bodies true?
