Hello all! I have alas been granted the power to post on LTG. I've been looking forward to it. I recently bought my first Guild and last week put $ down on another one which will be #2. Both are KILLER guitars! I landed a one owner 65' M-20 which is just a sweet little small body... I have had many higher end boutique small boxes and this one takes the cake. The new (to me) one will be an 87' JF-50. Can't wait to bring her home. What a boomer! I am also a member of AGF, SCGC players forum, Larrivee forum, UMGF and so on... I am not new to forums but brand "spanking" new here. I can't wait to pick some of your brains on some questions I have had come up over the last several weeks... I will remember them eventually and post them. Thanks for allowing me to be a member. :D

Welcome.
I think Guilds are special. I love, and play, Martins and Gibsons too at times but Guild just hits the spot- Made to be played, better than what you paid, great American Instruments. And I think they have a bright future.

I like that J; "pithy" you might say.

As in "My Guild piths all over your T*#@+&"

Or, "Pithy you didn't get a Guild instead !"

Welcome 502. Lots of dedicated, and above all, friendly people here. And a smattering of loons, comedians and eccentrics.

And then, there's Jerry ! But we allow for him cos he's from near Stonedandunhinged in Olde Albion.

I'm also a member of other guitar forums, but those Guilds seem to bring a big bang for the buck.

I've always wanted to try one of those M20s. Am I to understand that is what Nick Drake played?

Welcome!

The Acoustic Guitar Forum has more activity and traffic, but there's no better bunch of enthusiasts anywhere than here.

Wow! This place is great. Out of all the years you guys are the only ones to notice my screen name. Bltprf= Bulletproof. I sold ballistics armor to the military fro several years. The 502 was my first police badge number (I'm not any more... back in the day) and also the month and day of my Son's birthday. It just kind of came together quickly several years ago and stuck for emails, ebay and screen names.

I am starting to really enjoy the M20 and am very excited to get the JF-50. I was on a stage podium in the store where the guitar was on the stand where i first saw it. I picked it up to play it and the sales guy (who I know well) started laughing and said "I can feel it vibrate through the stage when you play"... It was so loud, bassy and powerful. I have paid more in the past and got a hell of a lot less.

I look forward to getting a nice hog top Guild down the road. I almost convinced myself to sell my custom SCGC, but couldn't do it... The Guilds are different than my Martin's and that's why I like them. They made made a noticeable difference to my herd.

Looking forward to posting and learning here. Thanks again for the great welcome!
