Will 59 Duncans fit in my 2001 Starfire IV w/out any problem

Looking to possibly finally change out the Fender HB1's. Will the 59's fit well? Also open to any other pup suggestions. Unfortunately original HB1's arent really an option. Thanks

You might have to drill the bezel on the base side, otherwise all good.

Don't need to do any drilling if you make an adapter from a strip cut from a nylon heavy pick. It's not hard to do. Go to the hardware store and get a teensy drill, just a hair smaller than the screws. Drill the strip you cut from the pick and mark and drill holes at the proper spacing. Use the screws to tap threads in the strip. Yes, it's not as quick, but it looks better and keeps the tilt adjustment.

+ 1 Avoid drilling the pickup rings if you can. My local luthier has made metal adapters for some Ibanez Artists that also have 2 adjustment screws on the bass side & Fixit has done it for my recent S-00.

Different size, mounting holes in different places. The standard HB (e.g. Duncan etc) pickup ring probably would not cover the footprint of the original.

The surroounds, the coils & the body of the routs (not necessarily the mounting holes on tje side of the pickups. Thst is my understanding at least.
