Hey all.

I got my D30 from dogberry yesterday (Thanks a bunch DB) via FedEx. I let it sit overnight per instructions from the group. I opened it this morning and it's just beautiful. Every bit in perfect shape the way dogberry descibed. Even had a little bit of the original price sticker attached to the back of the head. Tuned it up and it's just fantastic. Quit a different feel than my other guitar, gonna take me a little bit to get used to it. I didn't get a whole lot of time with her this morning before I had to get ready for work, but I'll be wearing her out when I get home.

Thanks to the whole group on answering questions and welcoming into the Guild lifestyle. I hope to be here for many years to come.

Enjoy it in good health GP. It's a beauty, and I would have bought that one myself if I hadn't already spent all my GAS money elsewhere. There's still a Guild blonde somewhere in my future, though.

Just like a proud papa!
It will be interesting to see how much you get done in the next few days.
Those Guilds, not only are they "made to be played," but they're also hard to put down!

Rejoice,
Joe

First - Congratulations, GP.

Second - yeah - Every time I have a few spare minutes I can't help but pick mine (a GAD-50) up.

Whew! I am so relieved it got there in good condition -- I've never shipped a guitar before, and may never do it again -- I was sweating bullets. I am also glad to hear you like it -- but not surprised :D Have fun!

Congrats! Don't worry, soon you'll forget you ever knew another...just relax...resistance is futile!
BY the way, with my style I've found frets last about 300 hours, so it costs me about a buck an hour to drive a Guild...just so you can set up the refret fund... Also I believe in a real fret job not the economical "leveling", because they're gonna have to lower the saddle along with that and that changes that magical "feel". Plus when you finally DO have to replace the frets you have to replace the nut and saddle too 'cause they were lowered. See, now that we've hooked you it's time to reveal the dirty little secrets....
I have to say there's a lot of guys who LIKE the feel of leveled frets, it feels more like an electric, but you give up volume, and clarity on hammer-on/offs, and strings buzz more easily. Food for thought while you get familiar with it the way it's supposed to feel!

Congratulations GP!

Pay close attention to the good Dr's warning. I showed up here back in early Feb with only one Guild to my name. Since then I've added two more, and I'll admit I have stared a little too long at pictures of others. (wow, I actually feel a little better now that I've admitted that)

CDog,

The first step is to admit that you have GAS and then to let everyone know you have it, just so they won't confuse it with the symptoms for any other malady.
And since there is NO cure, start looking for your next GUILD!

Buy another Guild and call me in the morning,
