Gee, Mello, you've fixed the two main things that ailed that bass: pickups and bridge!
I've frequently toyed with getting one of those and similarly modding it, since really nice, reasonably-priced JS-IIs are pretty hard to find.
Yeah, the mudbucker has it's charm but I really only find them useful for certain studio applications, where it can be properly tamed for the mix. As for the original 2-post bridge, it's just gotta go. No excuses!
That said, the necks on these early 60s specimens are awesome. Clearly catering to the upright bassist crowd. Super chunky profile and a wide nut.
