Ever sell a guitar, only to kick yourself the very day the Fedex truck leaves to take it to it's new owner? I had one of those moments this week when I sold my '68 F20 in a fit of GAS to fund a Martin purchase. I had myself convinced that the F20's skinny neck was too narrow for me and she had to be sent packing. The guitar was a real beauty, a rare LEFTY with 2 pickguards. It was a bit tough for me to play but nothing I couldn't get accustomed to over time I guess.

Now, believe it or not I'm considering buying a 70's F20 with a burst and having it converted to a lefty. Sonically it would be fine, since Guild apparently braced all their guitars the same in those days. What I'd need would be a lefty pickguard to give it that unique double pickguard appearance. Where could I find a pickguard?

Am I insane?

Why not have the luthier who is doing the conversion make a pick guard at that time? Just a thought.
