Yep. Have a blast with it.
Riding in that thing is almost therapeutic.
Then IF I want to make some money, (to get a C7) I'll ship it to France and sell it there. ;)
Veering wildly on the subject of collectibles price appreciation, it may be about time to unload my stored pair of John Lennon Peace Chucks, paid something like $35.00 off the shoestore shelf back in '04.
eekBay says...... WHOAH!!!:

Mine have been stored in the box in a plastic tote in a nitrogen sealed atmosphere (preserves the rubber), since new. Even still have the tissue paper...
That oughta add a 'nuther $50.00... :excitment:
Almost makes me wish I'd never worn the other pair...
:witless:
Ok, I was kiddin' 'bout the nitrogen. I know somebody's gonna ask
:biggrin-new:

Well Folks,

There is a chance that the Guilds you know and love may not be made like they have been. Do you think you can make 2 D50's, one in China and one in America, at a wide disparity in prices ? Not for long. As someone mentioned in another thread, the quality of some Chinese made guitars (Eastman and Guild) are quite good. There is a distinct possibility Guild will have to focus on its high end guitars, and many of the guitars you have come to love will no longer be made. Yes, indeed. Could be so. I buy these American Guilds because I love how they feel and what they sound like. I will play them and enjoy them, but don't be surprised if sometime down the road people REALLY wake up to how fabulous they are. Then, I/you will be very happy you had such a herd of American made Guilds. I just bought a 2011 F50 Maple. It sits side by side with my 93 JF55. It is a stellar guitar in all respects. Hats off to these guys in New Hartford. They built a great one here. My D50 is also from 2011. There was some guitar making mojo going on in the spring and summer of 2011 !! Back to the Corvette. Yes, it probably would have appreciated right with inflation. However, I think people will wake up to Guild even more based on the factors aforementioned. So, buy 'em and enjoy them. You might be surprised at what you own someday. My dad once said to me " If you ain't sweatin', you ain't buyin' it right " When the world is throwing the towel in on something good, it behooves you to step in and take a stand.

Have a fine day all you Guild fans !!
