When did D50s/D55s start using Adirondack tops?

Hi,

I would like to know when (not month, just year) Adirondack tops started to be used in D50s/D55s. Were they always in use at Tacoma, phased in later during the Tacoma run, or is it just the Connecticut ones that will use it?

AFAIK, always Sitka on the D-55.

I believe that Tacoma used Adi tops for the D-50BS (and D-40BJ) from the gitgo.

I'm new to Guild ownership, but weren't there D-50 Guilds in the past that were not the new "Bluegrass Special" D-50 guitars? Those older "just D-50" guitars were Sitka, I thought.

I received a backchannel reply from Hans, who graciously informed me:

No Adi prior to Tacoma. So, those old Guilds are all nice Sitka.
