Thanks for that link, that was very interesting and entertaining. Like old baseball cards and comic books, I wish I still had the "Big Muff" pedal I had in the 70's...

In the 70s I was into acoustic. I would have thought "Big Muff" meant something else. Steffan

I have seen the doco too & have a few fuzz pedals based on the classic Fuzz Face and Big Muff & one on the Coloursound Superoverdrive (I think) which is very fuzz like as well.

I think single coils (or even mini-hums ) works best with fuzz pedals in general otherwise the bottom end can get way too flabby.

Good to here from you Tristan. Still playing in the worship band? I am not an electric player (yet ) but I thoroughly enjoyed that video. Actually, I wanted to watch more but my p.c. crashed. :x

Addition by subtraction. Just added a digitech RP155 modeling processor to replace my Ibanez compressor. It does more stuff than I understand at this point. Steep learning curve for a novice like me but I am continually amazed by the variety of sounds it creates. There's even a looper and a limited drum beat box.
