I'm surprised those shorts the dancers are wearing got past the censors in '66!

Pretty cheeky. I'm the same age TJ, we never had a color tv either. I saw "Wizard Of Oz" umpteen times in B&W before I ever saw it in color, isn't that crazy? I remember they used to broadcast Wizard once a year on network tv.

Yes, what was the big deal about getting to Oz? Although, now and then, we would go to a relatives on Sunday night and watch Bonanza with them on a color tv. I didn't own a color one until I was about 26, and had gone through a period of about 3 years without a tv at all. (Not a bad idea, come to think of it.) It amazes me today, all but flatscreens are throw aways.

And who would ever imagine PAYING for TV? That's what the sponsors were for.

"Blow up your TV, throw away your paper..." good advice from J P

Quite right ! Just a little bit further and for a few bucks more, you'd be in Newsyland.
No snakes, no crocodiles and no sheilas whose accents could drill diamonds.
And sheep. Lots and lots of tender woolly little lambikins.
Wouldn't have those if you went back to Kansas.
