I picked this up from Goodwill online for cheap.
She is from around 1970. Your guitar would have had a hand written label in her, so you would need a native Japanese to translate that for you! 5 rows of letters, see last picture.

@Seiki Yoshida mabye you can help translating the label?

I played my JF65 a bit today. Love the growl and sizzle of maple. Parts of a few songs I wrote with it last year for our group. Used my phone so it is what it is.

Bob,
I think my '72 F-40M is just as chimey as your F-65. The note separation on the JF-65 (I sold my custom shop to Tex a long time ago) and my F-40M are distinct and extraordinary. They will blow away any other maple guitars I've heard or played, hands down.

I found maybe those same pics on a Japanese auction site. The only other one of these I’ve seen. I posted on AGF in an attempt to get a translation but alas, nothing.

Just finished a Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie, and next up may be my fave, a Glenfiddich 18, my favorite so far.
Back before my drinking ran away with me 15 years ago and I got sober, my favorite sipping single malt was The Balvenie 25. I can't believe that stuff is sell for $800+. Glad I don't drink any more. Leaves more money for guitar purchases:unsure:

Today I'm back to playing my 1986 D66NT again since I gave my 1993 Gibson Nick Lucas back to my son after having a sound board crack repaired. It sounded really good with Martin 12s Silk and Steel strings on it.

If you knew how long that last bottle lasted, you'd laugh me out of any tasting club on earth. I do like single malt, but all the blood pressure meds make half an inch in a nice crystal glass the prudent move. Fine whiskey and fine guitars do seem to go together though. Too much of anything, guitars included, is rarely a good thing. Still, pick guitars over whiskey.
