I’ve got my F30 out since I wanted to see how the new Thalia G-shield rosewood TRC looks. I’m not blown away since it’s not a good enough match to the headstock veneer, but it’s better than the plain black one that came with it stock, like you see in my avatar.

This is such a fun guitar too, been having a blast up the neck with it, you know, since it allows you access up there and all :)

I like it, Boneman, but I think their striped ebony would look better.

arrrgh, you might be right, now I need to investigate one of those! :D
I got all three types a while back and have swapped them around on a few of my guitars. I even flipped one over and use the non-G-shield side on one of them.

I feel like it's sacrilege to talk about a different brand jumbo 12-string guitar on a Guild forum - I hold Guild jumbo 12-strings as the standard by which we measure and compare all acoustic 12-string guitars!
I tried a set of Martin Marquis strings on my new Eastman AC330E 12-string - First time trying these strings.
At the same time I made a copy saddle from a bone blank and tweaked it slightly.
Extremely warm sounding strings - surprised me.
Volume might have dropped a touch compared with the previous D'Addario XS strings.
I find I strum a touch firmer and the guitar loves it! I can feel it through my chest.
No, it's not a Guild jumbo 12-string ... but it is a mighty fine guitar and stunning value.

Bruce, you cut that saddle to shape? Very nice job, from what I'm seeing. Your next project, since you obviously have the skills, is to do a 12-string compensation.

Glad you're enjoying your Eastman, and in no way is that sacrilege.

Also, did you have a Martin Grand J 12-string? Is that gone? It's not in your sig.

Back to my 70 D 35 again. Getting ready to do a trust, so I had all my nicer instruments out this week to document serial numbers and such. Put all the values on one piece of paper. It adds up. As I get more proficient at cross picking, the old wood dryness and the clarity really get featured. It is neck and neck as to which neck I prefer between the Guild and my Santa Cruz.

F412. Bought from Sound Pure in Durham NC. The ad said "Luthier Notes: Fret Dress and Setup." I think this guitar has the best setup of any guitar I own. It just plays unbelievably easy and sounds unbelievably good, too. Sustaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnn is incredible.
