US/Canada money transfer

You would not believe the hassle I just went through trying to cash/deposit a Canadian check. What is the least hassle for transferring money? Paypal? They are hitting me up for twenty bucks, besides making me wait for a month...

I would say PayPal would be the easiest. They do all the conversions and it is instant.

With a personal check, the person in Canada would write US funds on it. I can see where it takes a while and I also can understand an extra charge. I am from a bordering state to Canada, so our banks know the hoops you have to jump through. It just takes time, but not a month. You will probably find the money will be deposited in your account long before that.

I bought a guitar from England on a Friday on ebay, used PayPal. The seller got his money instantly and I had the guitar the following Monday. Can't beat that!
