I also had a Tennesse Rose (short scale w/ painted on F holes) and put a Tru-Arc bridge on it. Which is a mod I suggest for any Gretsch player. Played it for a number of years before moving it along. The Terada built Gretsch's are great guitars and size-wise the TR just feels right to me. But the pups were a bit wanting and although I also took a 'loss' on it $-wise, the enjoyment it gave me was totally worth it. I think you'll love X-160 and you can always find another TR if the itch bites you. Have many happy hours of playing!
Thanks. Yes the X160, even though Corona, is really what I wanted. It’s more inspiring to play than the Tennessee rose was.

So the trade was done, Tenny for a 2000 Les Paul classic with Seth lover pups. The main reason was resale. I think I could get more for the classic and sell it faster. There are a ton of Tennies on Reverb and GC for close to what I paid for the one I had.

The trade for the T100 would be my American tele for his claimed early t100. Still waiting to hear back if he wants to meet.

On this topic, about what year would the headstock on a T100 change from open book pointy/flared up to rounded down flared down? Does that make sense? Maybe if anyone knows what year the labels changed in the f hole that might help too, until I can get or see a serial number.

The headstock shape changed around 1962 from the "open book" to the "center-raised" style.

The labels changed from the "ghost label" to the first oval-shaped Guild labels around 1961.

Thanks JP! So it’s got the open book headstock but the Mickey Mouse pickups. The pickup rings are bigger, so it probably had the franz or Todd pickups until someone yanked em.

That's most likely the case, especially if the pickup rings don't match. Mickey Mouse PUs didn't appear until around '66.
