I'm just back from the best recording session I've ever had. I recorded four songs and used my D55 on three (Martin 00-21NY on the other). Here's a picture of me playing a guitar track on one of the songs (but to be honest, I have to say you really have to strain to hear it, the other musicians were dynamite and their stuff is mixed in the front)

Congratulations Joan, good for you! No linky?

Hey, you could have checked in on my long-lost D50.

PS "Took my D55 to Nashville" sounds like a song title!
and "Sandy Took His D-50 to Nashville" sounds like a funeral dirge title. :( :(

They said "two weeks" something like "two months" ago. Never again...

Thanks for wanting to hear the songs. They are on myspace, http://www.myspace.com/joanmaute The new ones are Vancouver 7AM, These Things Live on in Me (written for my Mom's 98th birthday this August), Celebrate Success (this song is being used by a Viet Nam Vet group in CA, really cool the way they've connected with it. Before I'd recorded a guitar/vocal version but did this new recording for them), and Get Out and Stay Out (written in collaboration with the Hilton Head Fire Department for presentations to kids).

By the way, Mark Fain and Justin Moses (from Ricky Skagg's band Kentucky Thunder) play bass, fiddle, and banjo and Thomm Jutz (who had the common courtesy to immediately fall in love with my D55) and Pat McInerney (from Blue Moon Orchestra, Nanci Griffith's band) played guitars and drums/percussion..yes, I'm spoiled and still flying from the sessions. We rehearsed, recorded, mixed and mastered 4 songs in two days.

Older songs where you can really hear the D55 include I Find Peace, New Beginnings/So Much More, and Saskatchewan Warm. joan
