Thursday's Pink Moon

Did anyone else notice that HUGE globe hanging above the horizon?
I went out early to get the morning paper and was astounded by both the color and the size of our lunar neighbor. So astounded was I that I grabbed a couple of cameras for documentation.

What made this really special here in the Northwest was that we had clear skies for a change!

it was really big and very orange over here in NJ., actually something I have never seen before. My son and I were coming from a hockey game when out from the woods and into a small clearing were about 25 - 30 white tails. They stopped and looked at us with the moon right behind them. It was almost surreal. Of course by the time I got my camera out they ran off. No doubt laughing
