Thunderbird sighting on CBS this morning...

the guitarist for the Dawes was sporting an S-200 Thunderbird, on CBS This Morning, today.

I'm assuming it's a re-issue, but very cool to see.

Did you get a look at the TRC? If it had lettering on it it's probably an original metal T-bird TRC and thus likely a '60s guitar.

No I didn't.

I did look for any type of wear, but it seemed to be in pristine condition.

That's Trevor Menear, the same guy who demos the Thunderbird for Guild.

Right! According to his Facebook page he played with Dawes on 9/22 in Nashville at The Basement East, on 9/23 in Chicago at The Limelight Peoria and on 9/24 in Chicago at 312 Urban Block Party.

Dawes is a great band, Taylor Goldsmith is an exceptional song writer and performer. I guess Trevor Menear has replaced Duane Betts (son of Dicky) as the current touring guitarist for Dawes. Those guys mix it up quite a bit. Seen them live, they are super tight. I highly recommend their second(?) record i believe, "Nothing is Wrong"
