Thousands of birds!

With the recent video and all the talk about the murmuration of starlings, we were treated to a similar spectacle on our field trip this past Sunday.

Across the bay, we observed movements of as many as 20,000 of these small shorebirds. Just to the north in British Columbia, reports have come in with estimates of 300,000 birds at one of the large feeding areas in the lower mainland.

Exciting to see, and no mid-air collisions! :shock:

That's one of the videos I was referring to, Sandy.
Needless to say, still shots don't convey the same drama that a video does; however....
