What's really sick is he doesn't even make an attempt at limiting the fall of the box by letting his arm hang over the fence as low as possible and then letting go of the box, he clearly throws it as if he was looking to make as much damage as possible..... That clip is gonna make waves I'm sure, as it should.

Can't watch the viddie at work, but the primary cause of problems with the shipments is in the handling during transit, primarily at the transit stations when the boxes get unloaded, handled by conveyors and dropped/slid, then reloaded, not the delivery. I've never actually seen a delivery person mishandle a package, but I assume that's what's in this video.

hmmm, just add this to the collection of videos that are already out there. It seems like they are always caught on tape, but no improvements seem to have been made.

I smell a workman's comp claim. it appears the delivery guy twisted his shoulder too much on that throw.

Is there any 'news' on whether the guy is still working for FedEx? WOW!
You kidding? They probably made him the head of the Customer Support department.

 You're right, Charlie....he probably did get promoted for his 'creativity' in delivery technique. He appears to not be a 'happy' FedEx delivery guy....quite a scrowl on his face. Bah! Humbug!

It is just evil what that guy did. I agree with bluesy, the guy didn't even make an effort to lean over the fence to try to put it down gently. To paraphrase Vincent Vega: "you don't throw another man's monitor like that".

Well, my experience (having been in the logistics biz for 20 years, so we got a thorough exposure to FedEx, DHL, UPS, etc. in daily doses) is that FedEx is still the best. Not because they don't screw up more than the others. And this common video is a blatant example of the problems with driving delivery measurements by time/package, which ultimately is what all of them do.

No, I still like FedEx better than everyone else because they're the ones who have always been most likely to acknowledge responsibility for their errors and work to rectify them. UPS just flatly refuses to be considered responsible for ANY problems. Claims for damaged boxes (not limited examples, but almost weekly examples) with tire tracks across them were always rejected as "insufficient packaging". There's a good reason one of our major customers (one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural equipment in the world) stopped using UPS as their primary carrier in the middle of a contract, and it wasn't price.

Just as we wouldn't judge all Guilds by playing one, or even a dozen, I wouldn't base my shipping decisions on a few Youtube vids.
