I've lived here for 35 years and the view from the west side of the bay never fails to amaze me. :D

Lovely. I think it's healthy to wake up to a view like that every morning. I had a similar thing for a while when I lived right opposite the beach - great to see the ocean & horizon from your kitchen window - just makes you feel better for no real reason.

Nice shot, Joe!

During the Acoustic Blues Festival in Port Townsend this Summer I got a more distant but similar angle on the same mountain. This one is looking East with Whidbey Island in the middle.

Looking West from Lincoln Park in Seattle there are some nice views of the Olympics behind Blake Island. The double-peak is The Brothers.

'Nice shots' back at ya', Joe.
Great thing about that ferry ride is that you can also see Mt. Rainier on a good day. Heck of a place to live! :D
North Sound cheers,
Joe
Thanks! I like it here too, but I'm sure glad we're not water-soluble.

Many dream of retiring to the warmer states but I've always thought I'd like it better where the summers are short and cool, with views of snow capped mountains with snowy winters. Owls and salmon and eagles. I think I'd thrive there.

I often think about the fact that I live in a place that other people travel to just for the thrill of it all.
There's so much to see/do here.
It might take a little getting used to, however. It's often too beautiful to comprehend....even after 35 years! 8)

Well, come on up! There's nothing on Earth quite like BBQ Salmon. Mmmm!
