After such a drought, can the rain be absorbed into the soil? Just wondering how it works.

Safe moisture, folks.

Lots of runoff and standing puddles but it's soaking in. There’s lots of clay in the soil where I live so it gets saturated quickly.

4 inches of rain overnight; Very Wet in Fort Worth and surrounds...

The clouds were beautifully dark. They came in low and fast, piled on top of each other. The air was cool and wet. The rain brought high winds, lightning and thunder. My dogs were shivering until about 4:00 AM!

Very badly needed rains Joe. Where I live, we got 5 1/2" of rain last week, and another 2 1/2" this week. Most of the area lakes are finally approaching normal levels and best of all, we haven't gotten any really severe weather in my locale lately. Just what the doctor ordered. :)

Big flooding in my old home turf in south Louisiana.
Everything's so low down there that a good rain truly floats many boats.
Dodged a few tornadoes, too!

Stay high and dry,
Joe
