PM me if you're in the market.

In general, it is a reasonable acoustic/electric bass. Unplugged it sounds like a guitar only lower in pitch, at least with bronze strings on it. It projects but not necessarily well. Playing with a cannon a.k.a. a D-25 the audience in a living room could hear me from about four feet away but not five. This is in contrast to the B-50 which seemed to be audible 8-10 feet out in similar circumstances. It is, however, easier to play than a B-50 because of the size.

Plugged in it actually has the widest variety of sounds of any one single bass in my stable. It can sound like a guitar but it also can get some of the growl of a Starfire with a Bisonic and the humbucker thump. Also gets some interesting sounds if you mess with the mid-range on the Fishman.

I needed something with projection, which is why it is now the least played bass in the stable.

My research suggests that a lot of them need neck resets and haven't gotten them yet. Given the number of bass players who don't even know there are notes higher than the 7th fret this is not the deal breaker it might be for a guitar but it is something to check.
