Not like the old days when the game was pretty much over by half-time. :D

It was indeed a good one to watch and yet another halftime to spend doing something else....anything else!
But that's fodder for another thread. 8)

**Slight veer here as I compliment you on your avatar. Very nice moonshot!

I almost always root for the NFC and I always root against the Patriots. Sorry Pats fans, I just don't like your Coach and Quarterback.

I like Eli and the Giants,,,,,,,,,, except when they beat-up on the Cowboys.

I could not agree more. I did walk back in long enough to see that leaving the room was the right decision.

Damn good game. Defense on both sides totally stepped it up. But, Pats offense was off kilter.

Anyway, can't take away any credit away from Giants offense; they were stellar.

I wanted a good game to watch, and I really got it. Also, I even thought Madonna did the best 1/2-time show I've seen; didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. She almost fell off the fake bleachers though, but she was a trooper too!

I thought the final touchdown by the Giants was very entertaining. Very good game and much lower scoring than I thought.

Anytime the powers-that-be are ready to do away with the halftime show altogether is fine with me. It's just much ado about nothing!

Let's play football, for cryin' out loud! :D

Ah, no way, Joe. I enjoy that! Man, Madonna even got a marching band in on that!!! :)

Seriously, what amazes me is how they can do that show and not perturb the game times. Madonna's show was quite a spectacle. The staging is just crazy!

Watched the game next door where we had a neighborhood guy's night out. There was one guy pulling for the Giants; with the Cowboys resting on their laurels again this year, the rest of us just wanted a good game and we got one. Glad to see Eli step out of his big brother's shadow and get the MVP again. The commercials were not up to par this year...

Poor Madonna.. Wasn't a guy in the house paying any attention to the ole gal as the TV was muted at halftime so we could chow down and listen to a local boy's tunes: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8u7CVVm ... re=related

Big Slaid Cleaves fan, so I'm with you on muting Madonna and listening to something worthwhile, soothing, and without all the ....bling! 8)

Joe

You guys are obviously not products of the 1980s. :) :D

80s? 80s? Heck; I can't remember the 80s!!!!!
:D :D

'SOK, you guys just missed big hair and crotch grabbing. ;)

Ken, I'm not sure if the NFL staff remembers the '80s either. It's amusing/pathetic how a semi-pornographic rebel like '80s Madonna could end up being today's tame halftime show.

Don't get me wrong; I enjoyed the show. But, Madonna will never come to mind when I think of clean family entertainment.
