So I haven't had a cold in about 3 years. Now I have the cold from hell - 5 full days into it and no signs of slowing down. Still coughing my brains out. Not many brains left to go.

Are you sure it's not COVID? My sister has COVID right now with cold symptoms.

Hope you feel better soon. I get them at the end of every summer. I‘m just getting over a three week ordeal. I’ve experimented over the years, this seems to work the best. I generally don’t like medicating, but those summer colds are debilitating for sure.

I would do a test for sure. There are Covid treatments now and the sooner you start the better they work. Feel better soon. Also no matter what it is a honey-lemon-hot water potion mixed with your favorite cheap distillate can work wonders on your symptoms.

If that cough hasn’t gone away or has gotten worse you may want to go get it checked out. Those can turn into bad situations that require real medical attention. I get a bad cough every winter and a couple times they turned into persistent bronchitis or pneumonia. Not something to ignore.

Oh, and +1 on the chicken soup.

Does the liquid taste as nasty as it did 20+ years ago? I get capsules, no taste.

I used to say, back before capsules, that if you are sick enough to willingly take NyQuil then you are truly sick.

Careful, though. There is a rumor in the forums that taking NyQuil can lead to guitar purchases that later you may not remember making.

Over here we say that cold or flu goes over in two weeks if you take good care of it - if you do nothing it will be over in 14 days 😏

For me hot water or tea with plenty of honey and lemon will make things a lot easier.

Six days into this blasted thing now, still not letting up. Ate a specialty gummie, it didn't do anything for my cold but it made me feel better.

I just had a covid test 2 days ago - negative. My nurse says it's going around and "it lasts about two weeks." Thanks, you didn't have to tell me that!

Quite a few people I know in Las Vegas are suffering from a really nasty (non-COVID) cold that's pretty mean. All testing negative multiple times. It truly is going around. It's a good time to avoid socializing, right now.

Yeah, I am missing a wedding right now because I don't want to go and bark my germs all over everyone. I still can't stop coughing, it's just a dry hacking cough. But I damn sure don't want to give this to anyone. Good thing my big jam session on the new deck is 9 days out.

So Cynthia, what is the guitar you are really hoping for? 😁
