Hi folks-

Can anyone tell me what the string spacing at the nut and at the saddle is for the Tacoma D40/50 Bluegrass models? Just the overall low E to high E distance is what I'm interested in...

Thanks!

Hi Kohara,

Sorry I can't help with your question but your avatar is very cool. Takes me back...

When my kids were little, we brought them to the Catskill Game Farm here in NY. It was a day when the Captain (Bob Keeshan) was there for promotional purposes. We got to meet him and even had him sign our brochure.

Having grown up watching his TV show, I was more excited than the kids... :)

Well, thanks a lot Fab4', that's twenty minutes of my life I won't get back. I hadn't thought about the Captain and his crew in like, forever, 'til I followed your link..............................!!

 .........and we still haven't answered kohara's question.

Well kohara, I measured my Tacoma DV-6 from outside of the high E to the outside of the low E and I make it to be 1 and 7/16 inches. The DV-6 is supposed to be a plain jane version of the D50.

Edit: ........that was at the nut. At the saddle, I make it to be 2 and 3/16 inches outside to outside.

Thanks so much... I hate to be pushy, but does anybody have a Tacoma D40/50 they can measure for me... I'll bet it's the same but I'd like to know for sure!

Thanks... I'm considering purchasing one online (nowhere to test drive one around here) and I'm comparing to my Gibby which is 1 1/2 at the nut and 2 7/32 at the bridge...

They sound great on Youtube!

Just a thought, but if a dealer is organized enough to have an Internet presence, they
will more than likely be glad to measure the string spacing for you.

Good luck!

Hi kohara:

Glad you got the information you needed.

What you didn't need were any more of those vexing veers...
