Hello bblooz. I like strats! Looks like a sweet collection but that image link is a dead end for me. What are you doing for amps?

Try it now.

I'm a pack rat when it comes to amps (all tube). I have four black and silver-faced Fenders, six '50s Gibson amps, two early '60s Guild amps, a Marshall JTM-45 reissue, three hot-rodded Epiphone Valve Jrs and a partridge in a pear tree. The collection has accumulated over 20 years, and is actually down from a peak of 30 amps! (ran out of room and also needed $).

That did the trick. Nice Strat array!

I ask about your amps because my electric of choice is a strat and I'm jonesing for another amp. I've got a blackface Deluxe Reverb and a '59 tweed princeton. I like clean chime, 15 to 20 watt range if you've got any suggestions . . .

I've recently realized that my favorite strats are Partscasters. I think the beauty of the Strat the search for your own tone. So many options out there.

Sal:

If you like the Fender tone, a buddy of mine is a legendary amp tech here in the Detroit area. He has a Fender Blues Jr, with the lacquered tweed that he hot-rodded and it's pushing about 17-18 watts. It has a bunch of stuff done internally including Jensen speaker replacement, that would cost about 800 bucks including the amp. I believe he is selling it for about 600 bucks. Let me know if you're interested and I can PM you his contact info.

Thanks John. I hear great things about the Blues Jr! I'm not able to act on this right now but I'm leaning towards a narrow panel or brown Deluxe. I'd also like to try a Vox, maybe the AC15. I've been running harp through the tweed princeton too and it would be nice if this next amp did double duty but mostly this is for guitar. Sounds like you've been there! Cheers.
