Ralf, I slapped this one on the tube last night :)
That's why! I just listened to it here and didn't open YouTube to see the date.

By the way, I just noticed you got some competition on YouTube, that girl is quite good! Sure the background is better in your videos, and maybe the face expression ;-)

The best of this bunch is my Tokai Breezysound at bottom left. It has an Allan Holsworth coil tapped HB bridge p/u and Tokai neck p/u. Tokai copied this guitar from a 1958 Fender Telecaster. The best of Strats is the red Fretking with a P90 bridge p/u and 2 single coils.

I've looked at Fretkings a few times, but haven't found a place within easy driving distance that stocks them.

I did put a maple neck on my frankentele. The PT deal fell through, but still on the lookout. Guess my wife's Dutch has rubbed off on me & I just haven't found the right deal.

I got the Fretking at the Portland Music Company Maine about 6 years ago, it was a trade-in second hand as new,a great gigging guitar that I use with the green Don Grosh Strat with hot Lindy Fralin pups. PMC has a great Guild site also, Cheers SGB.

I didn't even notice the P90 bridge in the first pic. Bet that's some sweet stuff!

As us guitarforumfolks always like pictures of guitars, I'll post some of my Fender style Frankenmutants :

Finished the neck and body on this one myself in rattle can nitro, the pickups are 60's Kay "Kleenex Box" pickups, and they're ridiculously fat and loud, like a giant P90. Neck is a baseball-bat Allparts. Had a lot of fun "building" this one, and even more fun playing it.

Here's how the neck pickup sounds clean :

Another one I finished myself, very lightweight pine body, big longscale Baritone neck, tuned B to B. The neck lipstick pickup is still there (duncan), but the bridge pickup is now a Red Rhodes Velvet Hammer that sounds great in this guitar. Did this one looking for a more solid, louder stage baritone than the Dano I used to have, and I'm very happy to report that my "gamble" worked, and after the pickup swap, it's exactly what I was hoping for.

litte video of when I *just* had strings on it for the first time, somewhat out of tune and still two lipsticks :

And then my "fanciest" one - didn't paint this myself, it's a one piece swamp ash Marc Rutters body with twin lollar P90's. Armrest by TK Smith, pickguard by moi. And at the risk of sounding like a broken record, I really, really love this one, sounds and plays great, and I use it all the time.

And this is my "heretic strat", without a middle pickup. Dimarzio red velvet lead, blue velvet neck pickups, tone-guard anodized aluminum pickguard, Allparts neck, Fender MIM body. Use it a lot less than the teles, but it has its uses.

And this be it in action :

Interesting guitar, Don: congrats! :congratulatory:

Pardon my ignorance but what kind of pickups does she have?

All the best,
B.

P.S. I like the look of the pics when they're uploaded to LTG. I know you're the only one that can do it, but still...

They're all Seymour Duncan. Hotrails, Duckbucker, & JB Jr. Not sure I'll care for the combo, but will give it a shot. Was just ordering some parts from guitarfetish yesterday & ended up getting a tortoise pick guard, & a set of overwound, fat strat pickups that they had in the clearance section. Plenty of stuff to play with for awhile.

I was getting nervous watching UPS tracking on this one. 7 transfers & departures from Oklahoma to Michigan, not including the delivery truck. Pretty sweet strat. Very clean, & an easy player. Not so sure about the pickup configuration, but we'll see. YAY!! :applouse:
