I feel your pain Mando, I've been burglarized myself....twice! I took the family on vacation just recently for seven days and went to some extraordinary lengths hiding my valubles (Guilds too) before we left but it could happen again at anytime.
The Breedlove(which a couple of stores saw today & are helping) is worth a lot more money, but Victoria's been with me since 1984, and is the one of my mandos I've always considered the least disposable. I'm worried she may not make it home.ladytexan said:Elrod,
I'm so sorry about your loss. It's like loosing a dear friend...always there through the good times, through the bad times. We love our musical instruments...they become a part of us. So, so sorry. Hope they are recovered (in perfect condition) and the thieves are caught. Glad to hear the music stores in your area are helping, as well.
Best of luck, MS. Keep us posted, we're cheering for you.

At least I'll know they're safe if they're in lockup for a few weeks. I still have three I can play, and my guitar is safe at home; looked like they didn't touch it!fronobulax said:Mando - sorry to hear that. I hope they recover the instruments intact and can give someone jail time for the theft.
If they do recover things I hope you have patience. I had stolen items recovered but they sat in a police property warehouse for several weeks before they decided they could return them to me and still prosecute the thief.
I'm sure it'll be fine, Mando! I'm so happy to hear this, and big kudos to GC for playing fair and stepping up!!!MandoSquirrel said:Thanks, Carl; so do I!
EXCELLENT!! Aren'tcha glad the Sheriff's there to help dissuade you from helping in the interrogation? I know I'd be feeling fretty "persuasive" if it was me.. :lol:MandoSquirrel said:Documenting instruments online can payoff. The Breedlove came home from the Sheriff station today, while the thief-girl culprit spent the day being interrogated. I'm hoping the impending grand theft auto, breaking & entering & other charges will loosen her tongue, eventually. And that she''ll out her partner in crime, as well.
Big time Thank You due to Guitar Center of Fort Myers, Florida for being determined to help a picker in need. They gave the Sheriff's department the info they needed to do their job.
