Here's a catalog page from 1978 that shows a Starfire VI as a factory guitar with a harp tailpiece:

To me the price is over the moon esp. for being not original and not mint.
I appreciate your reply, thank you! I’m basically trying to hunt down an all original stock VI w/o a bigsby. Do you think that’s

That’s really badass man!! I love that I just haven’t seen one for sale and I’ve been looking am for a few years now. It seems to me the bigsby would be an upgrade but those are all I can find so they must be more rare. If you don’t mind what’s the specific year? And is it stereo?

Wow I love this pic. Cool thanks a ton for this info. Well I guess I’ll be searching for a VI with a harp but I might just break down and get the bigsby version I’ve just never used one and I’m a bit hesitant that I won’t use it that much and it’ll get in the way! Thanks again!

Oh I’m sorry I looked back at the page and realized you’re referring to the dealer, correct? Also I had no idea of SSVintage is that a company that just screws up perfectly nice stock examples and misrepresents them? Any info on SSVintage will be greatly appreciated and passed on to other Guildsmen! Thank you for your time..

Yup, I was referring to the dealer. Scott Silver didn’t have the best reputation in the vintage guitar world. He sold CME (maybe 10 years ago?), and I started seeing SSVintage listings a couple of years ago. If it’s him, I assume his non-compete clause with the new owners has expired, and he’s back in business.

I would urge caution in dealing with him.

I've recently jumped into the deep end of Guilds and have a SF VI with a Bigsby that feels great and stays in tune. I don't use the Bigsby much, and the setup with 11s has a nice bounce to it and feels solid (especially with the added weight of the Bigsby). If the right one comes up at the right price, I'd suggest giving it a try. Also, can't go wrong with any vintage SF model relative to what other stuff is asking.
