Wow, what a beautiful guitar! Sounds great too -- I wonder what amps/pedals he uses?

Starfire IV with added Bigsby (not Guildsby)
(Dots on fingerboard, mini humbuckers, no volume control, shrinking headstock overlay, original old Starfire TRC, no gold line around pickguard)
Best guess, a late 1967 or 1968 model?
Here's another picture of Kathleen Edwards' guitar player Gord Tough with his Guild SF IV:

And an old 60ties Starfire IV on Letterman! Even better! Hope somebody at Fender watched...

wish they gave him the respect of a nice close up sequence. He did some nice atmospheric stuff. Deserved the camera more than that keyboard player, IMO.

Wonderful guitar tone. I like the old Starfire IV, which was a great choice to lead this song with. Yes, the lead guitar was tops, drums flashy, but the keyboards could have been a digital sound machine.

The mix is way better in that 2nd video. And you get a better view of the guitar

Yeah, I don't understand why they didn't do this. Would have loved a close-up.

Second video is great, though -- gorgeous guitar and I really like the way he plays it. That is basically how I imagined my dream Starfire to sound.

idealassets, thanks for that 2nd link. The sound and camera work on that clip are fantastic.
