Starfire III in Black - back on track

Really happy I got the M75 in black but I still wanted the Black Starfire III.
The one I let go awhile ago that's in my Avatar.
BTW - M75 is a great guitar ! Just to be clear.
But I really want to restore my 79 D40, that I do know for sure - I can't keep everything.
So I just sent back the M75 and traded for the Black Starfire III.
Nutz, I know, but I bet if I didn't get one soon they "may" be gone when I get around to it.

I don't remember too clearly but my old Starfire III didn't have the aged binding color that the new release does.
Certainly wasn't as ambered - which I like.

For what ever reason on the M75 I liked the dark fretboard but on the Starfire III I'm hoping I get the lighter rosewood version.
Maybe I like the contrast on the Starfire III - like this:
