HI,

I'm new to Guild guitars and recently purchased a Starfire 4 that has become my favorite guitar. It's a 90's model and has considerably more snap and life to it than my 60's ES335.

So, I'm in the market for another Guild but I'm not familiar with the models. I'm looking for a smaller bodied version of a Starfire 4 (around 14") or chambered style guitar. Can anyone help with suggestions?

Thank you,

Robb

Hello Robb,

Welcome! Sounds like you might like the 'original' chambered solidbody; that would be the Nightbird or the Nightingale. If you want to spend a little less, you could look for one of the various Bluesbirds from the '90s and early 2000s.

Sincerely,

I can answer all your questions, but I won't until you post pics of your Starfire! :)

Welcome aboard!

Whoa! That's a beauty. As Hans said, you might like the Bluesbird/Blues 90 models from the early Fender years.

I have a 2003 Bluesbird that is chambered, and is very versatile. Very similar to the SF-4 in many ways, but the neck of my bird is a little thicker.
