Starefire IV, simple question

Is the Starfire IV the only double-cutaway 6 string starfire that does not have the bigsby?

that's the way it appears. would like to confirm. thanks!

That is true if you are talking about the 1960's and 1990's. In the '70's and '80's Guild stopped making the SF5 and then the SF4's could be found with many of the feature of a SG5 like block inlays, master volume and a vibrato.

Hello mavuser,

That's basically what the standard specs were during the '60s and '70s; that is if we don't count the deep body Starfires.
However, over the years several Starfire Vs and VIs were special ordered without a Bigsby so there are some around.
During the second half of the '70s the Bigsby on the Starfire VI was discontinued and the model came standard with a gold plated harp tailpiece. The Bigsby became an option after that until the model was discontinued.
