Guys, I think I've mentioned this before, but if you really want to get some insight into Star Wars, you should have a look at "The Secret History of Star Wars" by Michael Kaminski. I can't stand a lot about the way this book is written, but it's a major reality check.

In Star Wars every building has endless amounts of unused empty spaces - long hallways and large rooms w only one chair . . .

They must have invented the secret of never-ending energy 😂

I may take you up on this chaz. I suspect that this may be the first pinnacle film series that underwent immense scrutiny, outside influence, as well as fan pressure to live up to expectations in film history.

My wife and I just watched EP I: Phantom Menace last night, and I'm so curious as to how such a disaster was released. I imagine there were a lot of behind-the-scene marketing/business/personal battles and struggles just to get it made, with such high expectations from everyone and all directions.

I'll check it out.

Because no one was saying no to George Lucas and he didn't have editors who would challange him.

The original Star Wars is a masterpiece because of his ex-wife who took his original train wreck and edited it into a coherent story. She won an Oscar for her edit of Star Wars.

They clearly have solved endless energy - just look at lightsabers. Fuel is very rarely a concern unless there's some (usually poorly written) plot point that requires it.

But it gets worse! Every planet has breathable atmosphere, perfect 1x Earth gravity, no hostile or incompatible microorganisms, and just enough sunlight to be perfect for human life.

Star Wars is fantasy and not SciFi, but it's got spaceships and lasers so... :)

Actually, I really liked the Ewoks. So many other things to complain about. But I still love Star Wars. Whatever. :D

Still have never seen a Star Wars movie, lots of other war movies, didn't need to watch movies glorifying wars we haven't even had yet, still don't. Never been able to stomach much sci fi beyond the original Star Trek.
The wars in Star Wars have most certainly already happened, a long time ago.
