I LOVE this thread...

I have Cardinals in my back garden...which has become really annoying these past two weeks...because I'm a Philadelphia Ealgles fan... They honestly seem to just stare at me and clown their heads - and smirk...

Haven't resorted to a sling shot yet though...

Ain't it a drag that our beloved Iggles aren't in the Supe again!?
Yeah and I hadn't thought of it, but I could begin hating the cardinals on our property both because of their mascot status AND
the fact they peck at their images in our windows all day!!

Hadn't thought of that, but what a great Philly solution for all of those spent batteries AND pesky critters!! Ya need something to throw at when there isn't an opposing team in town.

Well folks, I think we finally have success, but I'm not guaranteeing it quite yet. I'll give it to the squirrels for trying, but every time they get to the pop bottle it just spins around on the wire :D and they're not willing to jump to it. But, I'd hate to rush into saying "Mission accomplished" too soon, it's only been one day. But I gotta figure we're smarter than them, right? Right?

Trust me. That will change. I'll give them a week although if I were betting based upon the observed behaviour of Virginia Squirrels (She's a nice lady, but a little nuts!) my money would be on 72 hours.

Are you in one of those places where people are asking "where are the acorns this year?" Tough time to be a squirrel, if so.

Paris Squirrelton :?:

If it weren't for anorexic socialites, we'd be overrun with the darned things. They were under control until Oprah switched to woodchucks. :?

My bird feeder attracted squirrels, so I added a corn cob squirrel feeder. All of this activity attracted all of the neighbors cats who now stalk the feeders. The cats attracted the newly migrating Coyotes, who now kill and eat the cats.
But, they now slow down long enough for me to sometimes get off a clean shot.
The county pays a $5.00 bounty for coyote tails, which I use for beer money... I love nature. 8)

Tomorrow about noon will be 72 hours :D

Just send me $49.95 and a self-addressed stamped envelope and I'll send you plans for my Squirrel-Proof Suet Feeder For Birds :D

Sort of like the advertisement in the back of the magazine for a "Solar Powered Clothes Dryer", here's what you get:

We have had squirrell problems on our bird feeders - and last year more distressingly - rats (poison seems to have sorted that problem). Our dogs love chasing squirrells but havn't cottoned on to the fact that they climb trees. They'll chase the squirrell to the foot of the tree, then wonder dumbly where it went
