I'm sorry to say that I don't get this one. If she were homely, that voice would get her a job stocking shelves at Walmart. She's just another sinus singer as far as I can tell. I prefer women that sing from the deep regions of the diaphragm.

You’re entitled to your opinion, but I couldn’t disagree more. Not only is she a terrific singer, Lake Street Dive is a monster band, and I’ve been seeing them since their very early club days. Bridget Kearney is an upright bass goddess, too!

Rachael also has a great side project with her music school classmate Vilray, and it’s old school delicious. Saw them at a small NYC club not long ago.

Yes, I also saw Rachael and Vilray in NYC at Lincoln Center Out of Doors for free this summer at a swing dance, it was a blast! They're great.
