So, how're all you NE LTG'ers doing with the winter extension?
Knowing it won't last long is probably some consolation.

Sunny and 62 here, think I'll hop on my bike for a while.

No snow predicted in our corner of New Hampshire... but 2" of blessed rain expected to
fall tonight. It's raining now. We've had drought conditions.

No snow here. Lots of rain which we needed badly. Rain all day tomorrow and Tuesday. We were supposed to get high winds but that hasn't materialized either. The rain should put an end to all the brush fires we've been having. Everyone's happy except the dogs are bored. :)

I'm not in the N.E. (in the Ohio Valley) but we're in 'Blackberry Winter' here, though it seems it's a month earlier than normal. The old timers say that as long as the dogwoods are in bloom there will be frost. Then after thats past, a slight warm up then when the blackberries bloom it will go into a cooling trend but no frost. Thats what we're in now but temps are predicted in the upper 30's tonight. It's always a very accurate way to plant and hope it holds true as my tomato (48 plants), greenbeans and corn are coming on strong and frost will kill them. I live in a valley where the temps are a couple degrees cooler than predicted so my wife and I are kinda on edge. Definately will know by morning :?

You've got your tomatoes out in the ground or seedlings indoors?

Golly, who knew? It's 99 here today. I turned the pool heater on Friday and it's been pool weather all weekend. Next week it's chilling off to the mid to high 80's.......

Looks like the bulk of the white stuff hit the snow belt of Buffalo and points to the south and somewhat east. Here in NE Ohio it was mostly rain that fell.

Tomatoes in the ground from slips Griehund. Luckily we dodged the frost. Got down around 37. I never had much luck starting tomatoes from seeds and slips are so cheap we just go that route. Better Boys and Roma this year. Still wanna put out sweet potatoes but no one has them for sale here yet. This is the earliest we've ever gotten a garden out but it was just too tempting with the warm temps :) .
