This pinned bridge is another issue. I am disappointed to see that, wonder how easy it would be to fill those little holes and touch up the finish. That said, it might never happen. Not my chosen means of ensuring a good setup, but it sure works. Very solid guitar, well intonated, and the Bigsby works just as it should. So I might leave it.

Such a pretty guitar. Guild has made so many truly lovely instruments, then and now.

Glad to see you finally found one, and a pretty one too! How's the balance between the pickups?

About the screwed down bridge : if it's in the right spot, I'd leave the screws. It might not be an elegant solution, but like you said, it works great. I'm really, really close to doing the same to my own guitars.

Walter:

Pickups are well balanced. I might try some thin shims. Found dramatic improvements in p/u sound on my Epi ES-295 with getting the height just right. Might be worth a try here, P-90s being so sensitive to height adjustment. Not sure it needs anything really. This guitar is sweet, has great sounds, and feels just right. All I can say is, it was worth the wait!

Sorry if my post came across as harsh- not intended that way!
No issues at all Jeff - I'm glad you set it right so quickly. :) I've been sleep-walking through days recently & that dumb post of mine was another indication of my current condition.
