I'm a big fan of the SB series basses. I have a total of six. Two SB-201's, two SB-202's with the dual single pickups and two SB-202's with the split pickup and single pickup in the bridge position. I have never seen the SB-203 or SB502E in person. Does anyone own one? Also would like to see any SB series pictures that anyone may have. I'll try post my pictures (if i can figure out how to do it).

Guilds of Grot has a SB202 (linked to below). I think he has more and just needs to quit his day job and band and update his web site.

I plead much ignorance about Guild basses after 1977 but some of the Pilots had SB designations. If you are interested in Pilots, then lots of folks have them including Grot.

Short answer on pictures is to host them somewhere else and use the IMG tag to link to them here.

I too will openly self-diagnose with semi-complete post-77-ignorance-syndrome but wasn't there one with the two singles and a split coil in the middle? If my memory serves me correctly, that's the one I would love to get my hands on

That would be the SB203. Again, i have never seen one in person. Has to be pretty rare. Wish i could find one.

Do you gig with any of your SB200 series basses? I find mine to be a bit too heavy for that! Interesting that Guild kept the SB when they transitioned into the Pilot series. They just elevated the numbers to the 600 series. (And 900 of course!)

I mainly just play with friends around the house. They are a bit heavy but i really like the balance and feel of the SB200's.
