Smokin' Joe Frazier 1944-2011
Frazier, the former heavyweight champion who had a legendary rivalry with Muhammad Ali, died Nov. 7 after a brief battle with liver cancer at the age of 67.

May he rest in peace.

Re: Say it aint so, Joe.....

He had some serious bad intent whilst in the ring. One of my favorites....old school, new school...he could throw.

Too bad he and Ali never made peace with each other.

Good point Graham.
He hated Ali like poison because of comments made by Ali about him before the first fight. Ali was selling the fight and Joe took it personal. Later in life when asked about Ali's struggles with Parkinson's Syndrome, Joe would always reply "I did that to him". I will always remember the three fights they had. In my worthless humble opinion some of the best fights of all time.
May he rest in peace.

Gone forever are the glory days of boxing it seems. I remember the Frazier/Clay fights well, but in those days, and just after, gosh I used to love watching guys like Leonard, Benetez, and Duran. After that generation boxing seems to have almost been a forgotten sport. I hear Oscar De LaJoya (sp?) has been doing a little workout here lately   ? I'll bet he'd still clean your clock in 6" pumps and a garter belt on.

I'd like to watch the Phillipino guy fight.
