Saw this in GC today

I love me a blue guitar and this caught my eye. One of only two Guilds in the acoustic room, and both were 12-strings.

This one is an F2512CE ELX and the hang tag says antique burst, but it's obviously quite blue.

Played nicely, but didn't have the magic tone of my custom shop JF55-12. Then again nothing does.

I'm tempted to go buy it and review it just because it's so pretty.

No idea. Only place I found a reference to it is on GC's website.

So what would the color code be? DBB? Wonder what the label looks like.....

It's a Westerly Collection model. GREE's been known to do unusual finishes for Guild before that may only last 1 or 2 years, but don't see any indication of "limited" on this one. I'd treat it as a "get it while you can" kind of thing.

I don't, but that seems fair. Maybe a "See the blue Guilds" tour...

Cool find! The "F-2512CE ELX" on the GC paper label was supposed to read "F-2512CE DLX" for Deluxe.

The "Deluxe" naming according to the Guild webpage is for: "Back & Sides: Exotic Woods", in this case for the use of flamed maple (as described on the Guild webpage).

The F-2512CE DLX model is only offered by Guitar Center, it was especially made for them. (as far as I know/remember)
The "no cutaway" version called F-2512E DLX is offerend by GC as well and anybody else (MF, SW, CME, AMZN).

EDIT: I just see that the Guild website states: "Case sold separately". So was that Roadrunner Case included in the $699 price? On the GC webpage there is nothing written about a case.

Similar to the way the amber X-175 Special is only available through GC. They clearly have some influence with Guild.
