The evolution of the S-100 model with tremolos (left to right, to the best of my knowledge): 1965 S-100 Polara, with the single coil pickups, Hagstrom-made tremolo, dot inlays, Grover StaTite tuners, three-line Chesterfield headstock logo and incorrectly installed metal truss rod cover (at least on this model); the redesigned for 1970 S-100 Polara with HB-1 pickups, block inlays, the Hagstrom tremolo, Grover Statites, three-line Chesterfield and correctly installed metal truss rod cover; 1973 S-100 DeLuxe with the larger HB-1 pickups, Bigsby (Guildsby) tremolo, block inlays, Grover Rotomatic tuners, three-line Chesterfield and plastic truss rod cover, and a later '73 S-100 DeLuxe with all of the above except for the Chesterfield logo sans the three lines.
Truss rod covers with model names on them appeared in 1975 and they stopped making the S-100 DeLuxe in 1976. Subsequent reissues from 1993 to 2000 did not have factory tremolos, as far as I know.
