Hi Guys.
Picked up a a reissue with serial number FB000273. The seller said it was a 1998 but the number indicates a '96 based on the listings on the web, which are known to not be 100% accurate.
Can anyone confirm the year of manufacture?

Also for these reissue S-100s & this one in particular, does anyone know the actual finish used - nitro, poly etc?
Cheers,
Z

Hello Zelja,

1996 would be correct for that guitar.

Also for these reissue S-100s & this one in particular, does anyone know the actual finish used - nitro, poly etc?

According to what I have on file this particular guitar should have a Black poly finish.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

I am always torn as I have read that they had poly finishes but my 98 white is all tarnished at the neck where it was in a stand-that points to nitro. Furthermore, Fixit and I talked and he commented that he hasn't seen poly on any if the Guilds h has done finish work on...
