All things considered, he lived a pretty long life considering. Still easily in my top five of all time.
Ditto. Like "Blows Against the Empire", everyone was at Wally Heider's for that!

Oh, man.
Didn't know, but strangely around 4 pm today I had an overwhelming desire to hear him, so I played the Thousand Roads and For Free albums back-to-back on my office music system.
He played with The Buffalo Springfield at Monterrey Pop in '67, which was one of the things that got him fired from The Byrds:

His album "If I Could Only Remember My Name" is one of the few albums that I will put on, sit and listen to all the way through. Interesting, engaging music all the way through. A total who's who of SF music in the background.

"Triad" and "Guinevere" -- these two songs sum up Crosby's gift as a musician in my opinion.
