guitar players' non-existant problems

There are many people who want to play guitar better than they do now and look for quick and easy ways to accomplish that. The problem - impatience - is real. There are no shortcuts, including this one. Maybe your definition of "guitar player" is someone already so accomplished that they know this will do nothing useful for them?

In contrary - if the maker of those stupidities has low cash flow ( = the problem ) but has access to good marketing team - then he might well be able to fix his monetary situation using gullible fools. ( = solution )

😏
I, too, thought it depends on how you define the "problem" and if not wanting to spend the time and effort to learn is it, then something like this would help in a way. Of course, then whatever skill you develop is dependent on a device and if you're without said device, you're essentially retired!!

Heh, I've seen this contraption before, but it doesn't look like it would make barre chords any eZ-er to play. Hard enough to finger the open chords to be sure, but I mean for instance how would you finger an F barre chord? It'd be hard to press all the buttons at fret one, and you'd have no more fingers to press on the remaining notes of other frets to complete the chord shape! If you managed to place your finger up the middle of all 6 buttons at fret 1, perhaps that creates a strong enough pressure to note all 6 strings there, then you can maybe finger the other notes at frets 2 and 3, but even then your fingers probably aren't even placed where they'd need to be without the contraption. So to me it'd be totally useless!

fronobulax,
I didn't define "guitar player".
But if I did, it would be " someone who plays the guitar". Their level of proficiency would not be included in the definition as it is immaterial.
And any reasonablly intelligent guitar player should be able to see that this device won't help them become more proficient.
