Guildedagain's thread on the solid/chambered section got me wondering... has anyone ever recorded with a Tweedy Bird? If so, how did it work out? Any tips?

Okay... after hearing that, I'm definitely bringing it to the studio. I'll try my M-65 and my S-100. Thanks!!

Has awesome breakup with the right guitars, way too much. Trick is to push it into distortion by twanging on the strings, otherwise having reasonably clean tone.

As noted a powerful chip, capable of powering a 4Ω load, some harsh clipping.

Been used in pedals, some way beyond my paygrade,

But in this case, very tasty, to me. Apparently this is the 1st pedal to use the LM386 chip/op amp.

Not bad. Those sound samples remind me a LOT of one of those 9v "Smokey" mini amps (some actually came in a cigarette pack, others in a plastic housing (which I have). But...the best thing about the Smokey mini amps is they have a 1/4" speaker output as well. I've used mine w/ a 4x10 cab and it sounded great! I'd bet this Tweedy Bird would too if someone were to wire an output jack that bypasses the internal speaker and ran it through a 10-12" cab.
